Objectively, the surface of wood does feel warmer than plastic, that's due to the thermal conductivity coefficient. But subjectively, it can of course still feel different—the eye senses it too. Floor coverings are very much a matter of taste; I don't think one can find a common denominator for everyone. From experience, I can say it's not so easy later on to change a smooth floor covering. Then heights don't match, you can't get under the door frame, etc... so it's easier to choose the "right" floor right from the move-in. Whether that is parquet, cork, carpet, or laminate depends on personal preferences. We have parquet in the children's rooms and are satisfied with it. Previously there was laminate, which neither the children nor we liked.I don't find parquet warmer, nor do I find the feel better. That is probably a matter of taste. Real warmth would be cork. Even though you can't really see it in the photo, it looks like wood (the lighting is unfavorable). And I don't have a carpet on the laminate, my children find it warm enough. from on the go
