How about suitability for underfloor heating? I read that it is really well suited mostly for tiles, PVC, short carpets.

That seems a bit outdated to me.

Meanwhile, in most new buildings I know, vinyl is installed floating over underfloor heating. It worked quite well for me too...

As mentioned above: it is stated for every type of flooring whether it is suitable or not.

What is against carpet? Not only children like to sit on the floor and play, adults also find a beautiful carpet a true foot comforter under their feet. Goat hair and sheep wool are a bit more expensive, but also more durable.

so we have completely laminated floors upstairs (except the bathroom) and would do it again. with a tight budget at the end of the construction period (and uncertainty about what will happen with the rooms), you can cover the floors relatively cheaply with laminate. in a few years, you can then possibly choose something else nice. the costs for this are then rather manageable since you can redo each individual room.

Carpet on underfloor heating is of course also possible, you just have to make sure that the heat can pass through. However, if you know the carpet or if it is approved for underfloor heating, then it works. can certainly say exactly.
