Advantage of parquet plank over laminate

I see this less as a matter of belief than money. If I want and can spend >60€/sqm on beautiful parquet, then I choose parquet. We paid 17€ for very good laminate and are absolutely satisfied with it. In our case, however, it was also 160sqm, so you do consider whether the extra cost is worth it.

The question remains, how do I recognize good laminate? Can you recommend brands and large shops/chains where one can buy with confidence in good quality and advice?

Not at the hardware store, but at a specialist retailer (e.g. Aleks Hartwood or similar). I can absolutely recommend Kronotex Mammut. My neighbor installed Haro in one room and was very impressed with the quality and the installation method. In the next room, Meister was used, which was said to be even easier to install. In the last room, Kronotex was used, which topped the other two. I lack long-term experience with it, but I don't have any major concerns about that.

Have you installed it yourself or had it installed? Floating or glued? I have come across the topic of thermal transmittance coefficient quite a bit, which is why, for example, carpet and cork are out. I would therefore actually also like to glue laminate. I will get further advice on that at the specialist store. Unfortunately, large chains are rare in this area. Can anyone say something about TTM? Are they and their offers any good?
