So, is a second child planned and has the realization meanwhile grown that a second child should also have a somewhat larger room than 9 sqm. Here one would have to try to build two approximately 12 sqm rooms out of the 15 sqm and the 9 sqm:

I already understood that. But you are arguing exactly the opposite. And I say: then look for another plot if you don't want to build a big house. Because with 30 degrees plus and also around the corner, it will be the size of a two-family house. And you are just closing your eyes to it.

Wait. Just to clarify. The roof is not supposed to go over the L-corner. That would result in a side gable there, possibly with a different roof shape as well. The building authority could not find any specifications there so far. That means the main section of the ridge side would be "only" about 14.5m × 9m or so.

??? You keep showing us a house in an L-shape all the time. The whole house will surely get one roof. And no matter what it looks like: you’re building more cubic meters than your parents probably have. But what am I saying... I think you don’t want to understand that.

The roof is not going to be pulled completely around the corner. I cannot imagine more cubic meters with the old houses having 2 full floors of 200 sqm + basement + covered double garage + conservatory. I hope for a draft from the planner this week. Then I will probably "understand" it better.
