As I said, we actually want everything on one level for several reasons. At the moment, three of us live on 69 sqm. But I’d have to see the issue with the roof surface size in 3D from the planner - I’m very curious about that tomorrow.

The designs remind me of holiday homes in Denmark. They work great when traveling with holiday luggage, and you always realize how little you can actually manage with. Provided that you make this holiday-like reduction your standard of living, you are taking a good and consistent path. That can be very satisfying. However, if you expect the "usual to upscale" standard often represented here in the forum, then you are on the wrong track. We ourselves also build for "holiday-style" living. You just need to know what you are getting into.

We thought that with a gable roof and a minimum roof pitch of 30 degrees, a stage = storage area would be created. Since we are planning without a basement and probably without a garage, we thought this would be a good option.

That sums it up quite well. I hope we are not wrong about that. But so far we also consistently declutter and don't hoard a lot of stuff. Many model homes or even parents' houses are simply way too bulky and large for us.

At the moment, the child is 9 months old.
We just don't want the upstairs for various reasons. But if it doesn't work out, then we have to consider it after all.

As a teenager, I always drunkenly crawled up the stairs to the upstairs... that is probably also one of the reasons why I want to enable my child to crawl on one level.
