The house is from the late 70s, early 80s, right?
- So a real smart home without wireless means all the electricals have to be replaced. But electric shutters are by no means a smart home yet ;-)
- There are also underfloor heating systems for renovations on the screed. This then results in a loss of about 6-9 cm of room height. However, the room height does not look excessively high in the pictures.
- With LEDs, there are also very flat spots that can be mounted on the ceiling. This can be an affordable alternative to suspending the ceiling. Especially with room heights as mentioned above.
- It's actually a shame that the bathrooms are already renovated. Because if you're going to do it, you want the underfloor heating in the bathroom too!

Thank you for all the input.

The underfloor heating in the bathroom would have been better, you are absolutely right. On the other hand, it's at least one less point on the list.
Regarding the ceiling height, one also has to consider what makes sense as soon as things get more serious, or whether it becomes "too tight" if you want both spotlights and underfloor heating.

I will let you know as soon as we have information about the price etc.

Spots already work with just under 3cm loss in room height.

Looks really great, I believe with some skill, a lot of time, and maybe 50,000 to 150,000 euros renovation budget, you can make something really good out of it. That would also include a new kitchen. However, everything would be done by yourself, so only material costs.

LOL - what do you think you get for 150k euros of material? For that, you get the entire house extensively renovated by craftsmen.

LOL exactly. I just bought 3 buckets of paint for a bit of wood and spent 500 euros! Besides, you simply can’t do 100% yourself; for this house, from my perspective, the following would be necessary (but mostly excluding labor costs): - Painting everything and partially plastering 10,000 euros - Altering/demolishing/adding masonry 5,000 euros - Flooring 5,000 euros - Front door/doors 5,000 euros - Electrical work 10,000 euros - Renovating the kitchen 20,000 euros - Upgrading the bathrooms again 10,000 euros - Outdoor facilities 10,000 euros - Blinds/additional windows 5,000 euros - Small stuff for all work and tools 5,000 euros Total basic renovation: 85,000 euros These would be the basic things; if it were a full renovation with flooring and other windows etc., it would be quite a bit more!
