Ok so then let’s get started!

- Federal state?
- General contractor, property developer, individual tender
- Condition of the plot? Slope or flat?
- Exact square meter count
- Energy Saving Ordinance standard
- Construction method inside/outside? Brick, ETICS, drywall?
- Central controlled residential ventilation, KNX, fireplace?
- Number of bathrooms / equipment
- Windows / patio doors lift-and-slide door, double-leaf, floor-to-ceiling, size
- Floor coverings? Where what how much?
- Where own work?
- everything else that comes to your mind?

Sorry but I have been involved here for so long that I can very well assess whether I have been ripped off or not.

For the same house plus basement (construction time 8 months) many would have had to pay at least €60k more because connections played a role.

At least I tell it from first hand and not second hand?

What is included in the €4k fixed and finished exterior? Alone my material for paths, driveway and terrace costs €6k And that’s just the slabs and the paving!

Well, you can't really say that
1.5 hrs Frankfurt
1.5 hrs Nuremberg
3.5 hrs Munich
4.5 hrs Zurich

Now guess where the craftspersons go?
Here right outside the door for 40 euros or a bit of driving time, not at home during the week and therefore much more money.

I never understand these generalizing statements, is it starting again??

Nothing concrete known, no standard, no equipment, no demands, the OP and their environment are unknown, the region is unknown as well as the house type, but at that price, none of this is possible again?!?

I would be interested to know who your people built with. Because if that’s true, then they spent 1425 EUR/sqm and according to statements here in the forum, that hasn’t been possible for about 10 years. Today you have to spend around 2k, with an upward trend, and that’s for absolute standard?! I personally also consider this price (1425,-) to be unrealistic by now. BUT, I’d be very happy to be convinced otherwise.

Depends on the region and possibly on certain circumstances. Quite simple. Why should it be impossible?

Without various extras, we would have been move-in ready in 2017/2018 in Lower Saxony at an estimated 1500-1700/m2 and with 200m2, 1500 would also have been possible with different companies and without much effort and at an acceptable standard. With kitchen, without additional construction costs. The latter for us also corresponded roughly to the costs for the kitchen.
