I did the exterior work completely myself and blew €10,000 without having a single meter of fence. Terrain leveled (flat!), curbs, driveway (concrete paving) and terrace (large, tiled, good gutters), a bit of roll-out lawn. That means, you also have to be careful in this respect about what is supposedly included in a seemingly low €4000.

I also have to say that the region makes a big difference. Our house is being built in a village (very rural area but close to the highway). On the one hand, land prices here are not very high, and the same applies to craftsman prices. It is perfectly clear that the situation in metropolitan areas or suburban regions, e.g., Munich, can look completely different.
