Oh, I have only just found this interesting thread through a link in another thread.

Congratulations first of all on the property!
I know this area well, have you already found a building partner, dear OP?
Ingolstadt is just Ingolstadt… expensive turf…

I haven't read every post here, but if the thread creator is still active or reading: We are building in the middle of Ingolstadt, so feel free to get in touch.

Town & Country is still affordable:
The Flair 130: 270,000
Lichthaus 152: 281,000
Landhaus 142 Modern: 293,000
Prices for Ingolstadt ZIP code 85049

by the way, solidly built and not a prefab house.

These were once our favorites, but we have "somehow" lost sight of them. If we were to build a house again, it would certainly be solidly built.

Why? I have read that the difference is no longer that significant. And regarding all the discount companies, there is the big problem that any changes lead to massive price increases. Building individually is either difficult or very expensive :)

However, this is probably without the foundation slab and basement. I do believe that building with 500k including additional costs is still possible, but you have to be very reserved with your wishes then.
