Is building in Bavaria still possible for 500k?

It doesn't always have to be a single-family house, and thanks to the electric motor, even amateurs today can count on 25 km/h without breaking a sweat ;) That is already a radius in which one can comfortably live in a semi-detached house, townhouse, or small apartment building. Especially because with a bicycle, you can often take a more direct route than with a car.

Unless you build a small house.

That would be a small house :D and wouldn't even have a lake view.

You can twist and turn it as you like, it's easy to say that you wouldn't go along with this price development. But if you happen to live and work there, then the only question is whether to buy a house or not.

Depends on where.
Within a 25 km radius of Munich city center, you then pay "only" 1.3 million euros for a mid-terrace house, at 30 km distance still 1 million euros... and then we're already leaving the e-bike radius.

The Combi e-bike train is quite normal here. 20 km to the station and then 30 more minutes by train and then another 5 km. There are folding e-bikes. You can definitely manage 70 km one way.

But then you really have to consider whether it’s worth it to you. It certainly isn’t an option for everyone. For me, it definitely wouldn’t be, time is money too. Addition: I initially misread this and related the time to 70km by bike. But 20km + 30min by train is still manageable. Although personally, I’m also too sensitive to weather/temperature for that.
