Is building in Bavaria still possible for 500k?

I believe plastic windows are your smallest problem.

I’ll put it this way, if you start with "Pfui Plastikfenster," then 500k is truly never nearly enough. Even as a virtual millionaire, you simply have to set priorities nowadays.

just under €500k left for the construction ..., living space of about 160sqm would be the wish, ... Unfortunately, we haven’t found anyone in our circle of acquaintances who builds for less than €3000/sqm (sometimes significantly more)

1. Build or have it BUILT? every hour of work not done personally is a cost factor ... 2. it probably depends on WHAT you want to build or have built ...

At the moment, the idea of living in a small cabin with plastic windows for the total price still disgusts me too much.

What is wrong with normal plastic windows? What exactly do you have in mind?

Well, at most 500k€ actually go into the house, and what you currently – and also in the future – get for that is known. And minus additional construction costs, landscaping, garage/carport... effectively less than 400k€ remain for the four walls. The price of the plot is simply outrageous and I wouldn’t (want to) pay it even with 10,000 net income.
