I have placed the house on the plot. So it fits.
I would rotate it like this, and if financially possible, add some windows, including in the stair area, to let the house benefit from sunlight. If that is not desired, orient it as you want. But just the direct utility room location for access makes things much easier. And yes: swap the living room for the kitchen so that the kitchen is by the terrace and the chill lounge is sheltered.
However, I actually noticed that windows are missing. The solid walls can quickly become confining.
With the example carport location, the house and garden are protected from the curve and passing cars (headlights), yet south and west windows bring enough light into the house.
Regarding the windows: another builder might pay off here, where windows are not so sparingly planned in the construction specification. Our general contractor was not much more expensive than Town & Country, okay a little bit, but we could choose from a wide range of windows, which makes the house more valuable.
Thank you very much for the illustration and the work in creating the sketch. That already helps me visualize the whole thing much better :)
That’s a good point about swapping the living room for the kitchen so that the terrace is sheltered.
Unfortunately, only Town & Country is possible since it is sold together with the plot :(
But I will definitely address the window situation.
