Increasing income could again lead to a change of residence... therefore first choose the employer, consistently increase salary, then save and then possibly build or buy.

For me, a close call. Better to buy an existing property and sleep peacefully, while occasionally having money left for vacations and other nice things. I wouldn't do it and would rather buy a property that fits the finances.

Thank you for the honest answers..

We don't want to overextend ourselves either..

Because of the move for more money.. Then we have to go to urban areas where you can't get kindergarten places and where I also can't really save because the rents are much higher again..

We are looking for an inventory and may look further afterwards.

Time will tell. I also dreamed for a long time about building myself, but living in an existing property is easier, as most people already say. You can still adapt the existing property to your wishes, depending on your own effort / the possibilities of the house. Old does not automatically mean bad, especially when you take a closer look at today's standards and qualities.

Just a little update. Shortly before my birthday, we looked at a house (existing house) and had to make an offer. At first, we received a rejection, then an acceptance, because the first were not properly creditworthy. (For whatever reason).

The house was supposed to cost 156,500€, and we got it for 170k €. Summary: 145m² living space, 710m² plot, renovated in 2013 (except the heating, which is from 1997). Garage is also available and a pool in the garden.

My wife fell in love immediately.

Regards

Steven

Very nice, congratulations

Sounds really cheap with you. Is there no hidden catch?
