Thanks
Well, cheap is relative The crazy thing here at the moment is that a house is offered for example at 140K and it sells for 190K.. They bid each other up so high here, it's madness.
So far we haven't found any I once had my mother-in-law take a look at the exposé and the 3D view (she works in an expert office) & she said it is a decent house.

We are considering whether to still send an expert beforehand or not?!

Do you have the contract or not? If yes, it is almost too late with experts now anyway. If not yet confirmed, possibly not a bad idea for an older house.

We do have the contract award, the notary appointment is on 29.10.19.. We had to decide within 2 days
So I could still send one after all?!

Thank you =)

Could be done, of course you have to check if the seller agrees to it. But if he has nothing to hide, he should agree, otherwise you might become suspicious. However, you also have to find someone who is available until 29.10., and even then it’s only somewhat useful, the price probably won’t be negotiable.

But otherwise, it really can’t hurt, because this way you get a more precise statement about what needs to be done on the house.

Anything is possible:
- The expert goes through there
- Owner refuses
- You simply don’t sign at the notary since no one was allowed to go through

I don’t want to scare you, but maybe the competition didn’t find creditworthiness issues, but other problems and declined gratefully.

Have you planned for (unforeseeable) renovation measures? Is the price a bargain or really typical for the area?

ok. We have an expert ready who could step in at short notice.

We will ask the owners first.

Prices are customary for the area.
However, a clause has already been included in the preliminary contract stating that no defects have been concealed.

Renovation is actually only planned for heating and hot water preparation. (Hot water is currently produced by an instantaneous water heater)
