Well then: Same procedure with every wire. You take the cables like you used to, only now you don’t just use two wires and stuff the others into the socket, but put all eight on.


The path remains unchanged.

Simply explained.

Usually, all cables from the network sockets in the individual rooms go to a central point. Usually where the router is, e.g., [Hauswirtschaftsraum]. There, the cables are connected to a patch panel. If there are more connections than the router has, you patch the connections to a switch. This switch is then connected to the router.

If the Wi-Fi coverage of the router is not sufficient or it is known in advance that it will not be enough, network sockets for Wi-Fi access points are also installed at central points in the house. Don't forget power nearby or power supply via POE.

I hope this is somewhat understandable.

and preferably use duplex cables, I regret a little that we only have simple ones, I am now missing one in the [Schlafzimmer]

Uh, yes, exactly, I tend to forget to mention this obvious fact: of course, two cables are laid to a double socket. Whether they stick together is not important.

A double socket is actually two sockets in one common housing.
