Just looked again at the first post: If the BU connects the two wires coming from Telekom to the correct pins of a standard network socket, then a FritzBox can be connected to that socket with a normal network cable. However, I don't think this is the "normal" procedure. The socket should be labeled. And whether the pins are the same for every modem manufacturer would also need to be checked.

Well, DSL only has two wires. You can already go directly from the APL to the router with a telephone cable that has a network connector soldered on. Why would anyone still hang this unnecessary socket around today?
