Hello
I also want to install a Siemens dishwasher in my Metod kitchen and therefore I was at the Siemens showroom in Vienna yesterday and got advice on this matter.
After I gained some insights on the one hand and on the other hand I am not sure if the statements from the Siemens consultant are really true, I wanted to post all information here and start a discussion. It would be nice if others also share their experiences here.
After I told the consultant the cabinet height (800mm) and plinth height (80mm) yesterday, he showed me a table that indicates whether devices with 81.5cm (normal) or 86.5cm (XXL) height fit into a specific niche height with a certain plinth height.
At the bottom in the legend you can see:
white fields for 86.5 or light gray fields for 81.5: dishwasher fits
dark gray fields: dishwasher fits only with Vario hinge
black fields: dishwasher fits only with Siemens folding hinge (special accessory).
Now the table shows a white field for a niche height of 880mm and a plinth height of 80mm. According to this table, an XXL device WITHOUT Vario hinge could therefore be installed directly, with the front of 800mm height mounted directly on the dishwasher door. (no Behjälplig necessary).
According to the consultant, this table applies to all Siemens dishwashers with 60cm width, so both for fully integrated and partially integrated models.
However, the consultant said that even a 5mm inaccuracy in the niche height, depending on how the feet of the Metod kitchen are adjusted, could cause problems.
Unfortunately, I only looked at the dimension drawing of the XXL devices (86.5cm) without Vario hinge on the Siemens website at home.
I noticed the following:
In the dimension drawing the front is given as 705-775mm, but in the table it says 705-800mm, so there is a difference of 25mm!
The plinth height in the dimension drawing is a minimum of 90mm, but in the table it is 80mm for the XXL device (column 880).
I therefore wonder how it is possible that exactly in the column "880" with plinth heights from 80mm the fields are white and therefore every XXL device without Vario hinge should fit?
Are there not already feedbacks from other users in this forum that the installation of an XXL dishwasher without Vario hinge and without Behjälplig is not possible?
I will definitely call the consultant and ask him this or point out the differences between the table and the dimension drawing.
I will post further insights here.
Best regards
