The developer is our prefabricated house company.

But they can't use Corona as an excuse if they order the wrong windows or receive the wrong windows.

I took pictures of it again

In image 9, something is mentioned about force majeure in the top cut-off paragraph.
That also includes bad luck.

As I said, ask your general contractor if anything can be done. You can always try.
But you are entitled to nothing. Since it’s not agreed upon.

Something is wrong here.

If the installation date had been on 11/25, then your planning is seriously off, because woulda coulda shoulda you would have moved in November?. No.
I would say: if the installation date had been next week, then you would have the acceptance in late February, March.
That the financing plan conflicts with a prefab company, because the latter in recent years often only offers the installation date after 12 or 18 months, that’s nothing new and no isolated case. Everyone has their own burden to carry there.

Of course, things are really bad now, and it’s understandable that you are angry, but you should stay factual and keep a cool head when building a house. And have patience.
A wrong delivery is always possible. Yes, always annoying. Or rather, it’s less annoying when building massively, because then you can often keep building.
For me the conclusion is: another disadvantage of the prefab house industry: only when everything is pre-assembled is the house erected. No chance to have external influence on things that don’t go as they should.
And I bet: everyone here in the forum has experienced something similar. However, one suppresses such things later :)

Edit: without having read this now: the home builder can’t do anything about a wrong delivery by a third party.

- when we signed the contract last year in summer 2019, the plan was that we would be in by December 2020 at the latest. Now we moved in May and now it’s probably August:

How about the other agreements? The construction contract is only a part of it. If you have subsequent discussions to amend it, and the general contractor says, "If you change the contract as follows, I promise you a statement by date X." Then that is certainly relevant, isn't it? If you have that in writing, it could well be worth the effort. And the risk of bad luck should lie with the general contractor, after all, it was not the original contractor who ordered the window supplier. However, it does make a difference with what justification the windows were not delivered or were delivered incorrectly.

no, that has nothing to do with prefabricated houses. Not every prefabricated house manufacturer has such a high degree of prefabrication. There are ones with just the walls without anything up to fully finished including reinforcement

I would say bad luck and try it as suggested by . In theory, it should have been noticed during the incoming goods inspection, practically no. Both colors are available. Even for the prefabricated house manufacturer, the wrong windows mean costs. I don’t know how far the degree of prefabrication is in the workshop, maybe it would be a compromise to install the windows later and set them now. For him, the walls are just in the way. They have to be cleared out and put back in later.
