(Cute description, thanks for that. :) ) My husband loves them and I love my husband. ;-) They are meant to serve as initial orientation; I can put up as many table and floor lamps as I want. :)
Unfortunately, we cannot hang pendant lamps because due to the last-minute price increase of 15.4%, we have to forgo the storey increase. I will mention the price increase several more times. ;-)
Why do you lower the blinds in the living space when you go to bed? Is it for practical reasons? In our previous house, I always raised all the blinds again if any were down when I went to bed, so that daylight could come in everywhere first thing in the morning. Basically, I don’t like closed blinds that much and so far hope to mostly keep them up in the new house.
May I ask why? Thanks.
With 2.50 m ceiling height, you can’t hang pendant lamps? That’s the standard height most rental apartments have. People usually have pendant lamps as well. We also only like spotlights outside, we have some in the roof box, and they’re great there. Inside, I don’t like them because I think lamps can also be beautiful and add something to the room. Just spotlights would be too bare for me. And you can’t just quickly change spotlights; I can quickly swap a lamp if I don’t like it anymore.
Blinds: burglary protection and energy saving. Also, I sometimes walk around the house naked in the morning, and I don’t want to be seen. But in the evening, I still want to see our garden, so they stay up then. I also don’t like looking at closed blinds. I also sleep better since the blinds are closed at night; it’s just completely dark.
