You can skip the carpet sometimes, but you really have to get to laminate and the like.

I know about the dust bunnies on laminate. On vinyl, it doesn't seem to get dust bunnies at all. I haven't seen any in this apartment for years.

And I do think you have to clean the grout in tiles.

And I also want to take the tip about towel radiators to heart.

Sure, you can never avoid cleaning. But I like simplifications. For example, I have a rather expensive robot vacuum from Xiaomi, which hardly runs in this apartment because I would have to move everything around for half an hour beforehand. It doesn't fit under the sofa either. And I do care what it looks like behind the sofa. And cleaning behind and under the sofa all the time is annoying. That's why the next sofa will definitely be on stilts.

I also prefer to live more minimalistically. That's why I have rather little decoration. Less is more. It was funny when a visitor thought I had just moved into the apartment because everything was so clean. But the apartment had been fully furnished for months. Having less frees me.

better 2 robots

I always say; slaughterhouse character if possible!
By the way, if you don’t see the dust bunnies it might be because those cheeky things hide. They are just mice.....-

What do you mean by the character?

Our vinyl here is antistatic. I think that's why there are no mice. Of course, there is dust.

With the cheap laminate in my student apartment, the mice quickly ended up in the corner. I could hardly keep up with looking behind it.

So another tip:

Antistatic flooring

If slaughterhouse character refers to little decoration, then I don't see it that way. I think it's nice when everything has its place. You can also make it cozier with wall colors, pictures, and a few selected decorative objects. But sure, it naturally feels a bit cooler. But I love it.

It wasn’t meant quite literally but rather that it could be orderly yet minimal to achieve its goal.
