I can confirm that. Additionally, tile everything and install a floor drain. This greatly simplifies the use of the steam cleaner.

Joints and tiles are not a problem for me. Tiles are easy to clean. We purposely chose slightly irregular and textured ones where you can't see anything, no dust, no water stains, no hairs. True. But spotlights can also get dusty. They must be long enough. Totally overrated. They need to be cleaned too. Well, a little decoration isn't bad either. I don't understand about the countertop. But I just thought of this: countertops that are too deep on islands... you can hardly wipe from one spot. Dark surfaces, dust is visible there. Window frames ideally in light gray, dust and fly dirt is least noticeable there. Oops, I'm drifting off: we didn't pay attention to easy care, but to not seeing dirt immediately – what's behind the sofa doesn't really matter to us. Best not to build at all: no garden, no direct access to the house, no beds outside.

- send the partner out of the house with drilling, sawing, sanding, - vacuum necessary work, - do not sneeze into the flour

Build smaller. Less space means less dirt. As little decoration and plants as possible. Leave the house as little as possible (have deliveries brought) and do not receive visitors. Central ventilation and never open windows. The most important thing at the end: remain childless.

I am better at cleaning larger rooms. Nothing is lying around, nothing needs to be moved aside. The vacuum cleaner fits into gaps, etc.

By the way: lots of movement, lots of dust, little movement, also lots of dust

and if not with lime-containing water no dark bathroom tiles, even if they are trendy ... unfortunately, when lime-scaled they no longer look nice at all!

Smooth surfaces show fingerprints (e.g. kitchen furniture), but are also much easier to wipe clean than matte ones, which show less anyway ..

Dust and such settle more in carpets and do not swirl around, smooth floors in the bedroom for example lead more to dust bunnies. But both need to be vacuumed, and depending on the device/robot, it is more pleasant on smooth floors.

I also don't find tile grout bad, at least you can wipe the tiles and be done. You just have to find a good middle ground for floor tiles between very rough/slip-resistant = more scrubbing and smooth/glossy = easy to wipe.
