How realistic are the advertising prices of the providers, what extra costs come on top?

I actually think less so, because the question is aimed at the offers from the real estate portals and the background. But it may be that these companies place many offers in the TE's area. They are almost unknown to me. ?

To put it into perspective. Bathrooms, hall, and kitchen amount to... 50m²? Then the additional cost from 20 to 40 EUR/m² for the tile is 1,000 EUR. The other costs, adhesive, grout, corner strips, labor remain the same.

And depending on the format, another 50€ or more surcharge for the installation work. Of course, the baseboards will also be significantly more expensive. And whoever chooses a more modern/nicer format with nicer tiles often also goes for stainless steel corner strips instead of corner-glued tiles or plastic corner strips. Instead of 8mm, modern narrow joints are preferred. Etc. Everywhere you can upgrade to a current standard. You don't have to - but experience shows that it almost always has to be modern in the owner-occupied home. Otherwise, one could just continue living in the apartment with bahamabeige...

Sorry, but you don’t build a house just to have modern tiles. Which will be out of fashion again in 20 years. A house is a matter of attitude towards life. It means a piece of freedom. It provides quality of life. And that also works with 30x30 tiles. If money is not too plentiful. Of course it’s nicer to fulfill all wishes with the house. But that has only been possible for very few people for 3 years now. And rather than not building a house at all, I make compromises.

... and if you then read the threads here, I’m the first to say that building cheaply is still possible today with the right demands and the right mindset.
But in contrast, most builders, despite the high costs and interest rates, still insist that simple fittings simply must not be an option. And then you can quickly create a lot of costs to end up at a "it's just normal that 'one' has that."

Example very recently from another thread.

Applause! That's exactly my point. Everyone "complains" about TuC, TM, etc. But the fact is: it’s a house and you can live in it, and certainly better than in a 2-room social apartment. And on the other hand (I didn’t want to quote fully) maybe also once again "back-to-the-roots," that is a manageable size (does it really have to be 160 sqm just because the buddy has 150?) And yes, semi-detached houses are also a worthwhile alternative when land prices are beyond good and evil...
