How often do you use your roller shutters?

Typically, I look at my neighbors' houses here :D
Therefore, blinds were enough for me there. To the south, I have a view - which I can also enjoy in summer with venetian blinds.
I have also noticed how extreme "reflections" can be. Venetian blinds at the top in the south, sun so steep that it doesn't shine in, or venetian blinds at the bottom, makes a difference of 1-2 °C.

No, it is a residential area from 10 years ago. My neighbor's house, for example, is from Schwörerhaus.

So, venetian blinds without guide rails. Saved money at the wrong end.

We only use ours in the children's rooms when they sleep during the day and in the bedroom when the sun is already shining in at 5 a.m.

In the other rooms, we could have done without them. However, we only have manual strap roller shutters. Honestly, I don't understand the advantages of electric ones either; the straps disappear behind the curtains and can be lowered in 0.5 seconds and raised in 1.5 seconds.

We don't have any [Raffstores]. We have a sufficient roof overhang so that we don't get direct sun in the rooms during summer. Besides, I would find it awful to always sit in the dark during summer.

With venetian blinds, you are not sitting in the dark right now (unlike roller shutters). I wouldn’t like to have less light in the rooms on days without sun because my roof overhang is so large. I have guide rails and the venetian blinds only rattle in really strong storms. I also don’t have a wind sensor that automatically raises them. Recently, with Axel, who destroyed our pavilion plant pots, we had no problems with the lowered venetian blinds. Electric because it can be automated (I still have to take care of that) or at least centrally controllable...
