thank you too for your response.
Hello Marco,
You mean the amendment? What did you originally sign, i.e. in the actual construction contract? How is the wall structure (aerated concrete/Poroton) described there?
We signed for lime sand brick 24 with ETICS plus reinforcing mesh outside 15cm.
If my calculation => "Original masonry 36.5 plus 2.5 cm mineral exterior plaster = 39 cm; now lime sand brick 24 plus ETICS 14, plus synthetic plaster 1.5 cm - results in a masonry of 39.5 cm. According to my calculation your builder made a mistake, unless he applies 2.5 cm synthetic resin plaster, then his amendment is correct" is correct, there are additional costs for exclusively 1.4 cm, as the structure of the outer wall changes only marginally.
Further down you write => "Now from the outer edge of the ETICS we only have about 51cm on the eaves side and only 16cm on the gable side" THAT cannot be right, because you would lose 14 cm. Somewhere there is a thinking or communication error hidden.
I have been doubting this all along as well, but after reading the answer from our home builder, something about this increase doesn’t add up: "The roof overhang beyond the insulation is now 60 cm. Including insulation it is now about 70-75 cm measured from the masonry. Normally it is only 40-45 cm including insulation." (see my answer to Chris82’s post).
Certainly, I am no penny-pincher, especially since we already accepted an increase regarding the knee wall height, roof pitch change from 32° to 35°, and extension of the house by 0.25m (we wanted all that). But if it starts like this now, I am more or less already waiting for the next increase for the WU basement, although that should actually be included according to the contract (that was a bit ironic).
Best regards
Regards,
Marco
