I invested a lot of time researching it. With Ubiquiti you get that with the Edge Switches. Unfortunately, there are hardly any experiences from others to be found. That's why I went with Cisco. It's recommended a lot in the a d m i n i s t r a t o r forum and works wonderfully here with Magenta TV. IGMP snooping is deactivated by default, though, and must be enabled first.

Sorry if the thread is already too old to reply to, but I'll give it a try...

The AVM repeaters don’t appeal to me visually for wall or ceiling mounting either.
Do you have a recommendation for an access point that is, after AVM repeaters, next easiest to set up but "nice" and inconspicuous for ceiling or wall? Preferably with PoE, because that’s also more inconspicuous than with a power plug.
Am I already with Unifi under these conditions?

What are your selection criteria?

Visually: White, flat, without rod antennas, simple, inconspicuous
Technically: I first had to check on idealo what criteria even exist :) WiFi speed, WiFi standard, frequency bands, WiFi functions, I must admit I can't really classify what is solid standard and what is high-end. Therefore, I would say: Something affordable for a normal user who doesn't want to get into it, a real access point, not a repeater (which has often been advised against here), compatible with Fritzbox (does that need to be mentioned?), LAN connection 1000 Mbit.
For example, I would have said Netgear WAC505 or Ubiquiti UniFi Accesspoint AC Lite. But I have already read here that the setup of Unifi is rather complicated.

Unifi is anything but complicated. You need the Unifi Controller for initial setup and further provisioning. You can install it on a simple Windows laptop. It's free. The purchasable controller only makes sense if you want to use the complete proprietary Unifi ecosystem for logging, monitoring, etc. The APs themselves have a wizard that guides you through the setup. It's really simple. On the ceiling it can look like this:
