Mobilhome sounds good, but with stationary supply and disposal it would almost be difficult. Popcorn is not really my thing, but I am interested. I still have a few discarded windows to offer, if needed. No, no, I just have a break, right? Sylvia

Maybe not quite 20k€, but already with architect, structural engineer, and connections.

For the friends Franz Voll and Uwe Vogt, an important day is coming: After a six-month delay, they are putting up Uwe’s house in Königslutter near Braunschweig. A house is to be built for 65,000 euros, in which the essential components – such as the walls – were built by themselves. Now the big question is: Do all the parts fit?

Hope this helps.

Best regards Alex

From Lego? No chance. THAT would be way too expensive.

You could start a brick-donation campaign. The builders from your area could give you their leftover bricks. Then "dispose of" sanitary facilities with small defects from the hardware stores. The insulation could possibly be done with compressed yellow bag contents.

The execution of the work would also not be a problem. You could enslave the neighboring village.

All in all, absolutely realistic. I wouldn't worry about that. However, I would ask for the creation of a builders' blog with a video diary.

So I knew right from the start that most people wouldn't take it seriously ;p

As I said, the 20k are pure material costs without architect, structural engineer, and mandatory connections.

Otherwise, of course, we would also take B-stock, used, etc., if available in reasonable quality. From an ecological point of view even sensible, since not everything has to be new.

I have already researched costs for windows, doors, etc. What I still find difficult are the ceilings (basement, intermediate ceiling possibly, and roof). Is it even possible to do that yourself?

Which energy saving regulations and DIN standards would be particularly important for a building permit?

Yep, my parents have one, stationary with electricity, water, etc. 2 bedrooms, bathroom, toilet, kitchen, dining area, living room, storage room. Cost almost 25,000 used. Including the plot. However, for vacation, not for permanent living. I'll tell you, you don't need a sauna in the high summer anymore!

Now

Well, if the budget for pure material costs is EUR 20,000, then you have to expect not to be taken seriously
But seriously. How is that supposed to work if you don't want to install not only used junk? And even that you will have to pay for in order to get usable things. Because screed, interior plaster, adhesives/mortar, etc. you can only get new – your budget will already fail at that...

P.S. I know really beautiful straw huts in the Caribbean, if only our climate wasn’t so stupid!
