Tax law, apart from undeclared work, has nothing to do with house construction. And undeclared work is also prohibited in Greece.

Right. That was just one possible example among many.

I do not want to explain my Kraut-und-Rüben remark here in detail or convince anyone. But the conclusion is wrong that I would prefer the opposite, "Einheitsbrei" or always the exact same floor plans and facades.

It would be possible to build cheaply and ecologically with clay-straw walls. However, the question would be how thick such a wall must be to meet today’s energy saving regulation.

... so basically a timber framing method as our ancestors already knew. It will definitely be a challenge for everyone involved - and it is not cheap either.

I think you can also do something with rammed earth walls without timber framing. But I am not an expert.

I have an expert in earthen construction on hand. This type of building is currently very trendy again! He emigrated to Australia 10 years ago.

However, I saw a house at a trade fair two years ago that cost around €30,000 finished. It was a fixed house, approved for permanent residence on campsites.

Otherwise, I have a 2004 caravan with bunk beds to offer.

Sorry, I am still sure whether this is not a very early April fool's joke.

Our ancillary building costs alone amount to well over €30,000. An excavator costs daily rent, windows, doors, bathrooms...

22 years ago we built a house (bungalow, 115 sqm) ourselves together with the family for my parents-in-law. Duration: 2 years. Craftsmen: father-in-law foreman, brother-in-law metalworker, father roofer, etc... Costs: just over €100,000.

By now there are different regulations! Prices have risen ........

I find the project unrealistic! but I will subscribe to the construction blog immediately when it starts.
