Sure, that's why I'm asking... There are often simply cheap alternatives to certain building materials. Many modern building materials are just a financial product, I would say (to take money out of people's pockets).

I think wood, for example, is a great building material. The problem with ceilings, etc. still remains...

There's a site with a 10,000 Euro house (basically something like the Hobbit houses from Lord of the Rings). That's why I'm seriously asking if you could realize something like that with a lot of work and alternative building materials ^.^

And yes: I would definitely do a YT blog ^.^

What did you expect? If it were April 1st, one could think it was an April Fool's joke.

Have you ever made something like a plan? With windows and doors it's not done, they only make up a negligibly small part of the material costs. Ever thought that a house is more than just a few stones stacked on top of each other, a roof on top, and some windows and doors inserted? So either your budget, as toxic wrote, is already gone before the first stone is laid, and even if not, you definitely won't make it up to having a roof over your head.

Why do you think everyone else puts down six-figure sums for their house (and only very few have a 1 at the front)? €20,000? – Well, if you manage that, then I'll do it too!

Wasn't it supposed to be a solid construction?

Wooden house is good, but it's not cheaper either. Or do you have a forest available?

Of course it is supposed to be, or should be, a solid construction. But on the one hand, you have to make compromises, and on the other hand, I am flexible with the materials. It just shouldn’t be blown away in the first storm.

I can already imagine building a house out of leftover materials. If on top of that the ancillary construction costs and the plot come into play (are allowed)? I would look for an architect who would design the house as a prestige project for free, and at the start of construction involve the media – through resonance possibly better materials.

But I am asking about the intention behind such a house build! Because: who wants to live in a leftover hut?

Regards Yvonne

Edit: There won’t be any lender, so the rest must already be jingling in the pocket.
