The surfaces are bent in only one direction. Bending sheet metal in one direction is not difficult. Nothing needs to be "stamped" for that. (the picture shows a somewhat larger example) I don’t yet know how the ends will be finished, where the rain should drip off, but there are craft solutions for that...

Hi

In the roofing shown in the picture, the sheet metal panels are surely rounded off and the standing seams are thus stretched and compressed. Installing a standing seam roof on your curved porch is quite a bit of work. It’s also important to ensure that the water can run off without obstruction.

The seams are "stretched and compressed," yes, but these are only small distances each time and a "normal" situation for a roofer. Especially with the seams, very nice structures arise on such curved roof surfaces. I do not "fear" that at all; on the contrary, I believe it can make the roof surface interesting. I hope to find someone who will explain to me what I need to pay attention to and then be able to do it myself. (in principle I can do something like this) We'll see...

Hi

For a "normal" roofer, this is certainly nothing. It's not just about measuring, cutting, and folding the standing seam of the panels. Towards the center, you need a flange that then must be compressed and connected on both sides with an overlapping piece. On the eaves side, a sheet metal is also necessary, which must likewise be stretched to be able to fold over the panels. You need a good tinsmith for that. I once worked in this area a long time ago. If it weren't so far away..........

And once again my general objection I think that a multilayer construction makes the roof appear so heavy afterwards that your approach with OSB and paper clearly loses the lightness shown and, in my view, also the important lightness.

Theoretically, the entire surface could be covered with one sheet of metal, without any interruption ...

"... that a multilayer construction makes the roof appear so heavy afterwards ..."
The material thickness will - if everything goes as I imagine - be a little over 20 mm ...

You notice: I have no worries about that ... but I’m still glad about such comments because they raise one’s own awareness ....

What currently concerns me more is that I would like to combine this - from my point of view clear - beautification of the entrance from outside with an enlargement of the interior.
Additions and conversions always make sense when there are several reasons, and we could definitely use a bit more space in the entrance area.

The bigger the interior becomes, however, the less remains for the porch roof, because without a building permit I only have 1.50 meters.
As I understand it, these 1.50 are measured from the house wall, without roof overhang, to the end of the porch, including roof overhang.
1 meter roof overhang for "searching for keys in the rain" already seems little to me ... so only 50 centimeters remain for interior enlargement ... and I would like to install a coat rack on the newly created inner walls. For that, 50 cm is a bit tight.

The whole idea is anyway already ridiculously expensive because it’s not really absolutely necessary for survival ....

once again about the material thickness: the thinner, the more stylish, I agree with that too. If I take 6 mm thick plywood, which would bend easily, maybe even 3 layers, so 18 mm, would already be enough. Of course, the profile at the end of such a surface is also decisive for the impression – and I can taper that as thinly as I want ... Because the exterior color will probably be the gray of titanium pewter (I have already ruled out a gilded outside), I would like to put something "snappy" on the inside ...
