Is that really possible? Only by temperature? When I always see pictures of "concrete look" I feel quite differently – because it mostly looks totally fake. It would be an excellent alternative since I wouldn’t have the disadvantages of concrete (e.g. later work on the masonry, etc.)

Regarding uploading a plan – is that relevant for the assessment of the facade? Somehow I am always a bit reluctant to post something like that online – what exactly would be relevant here?

The correct section for plans would be – whether you want to upload something there is up to you. It helps with discussing solutions to have concrete visual ideas.

“The assessment of the facade” cannot be viewed in isolation: architecture is always a symphony of massing, materials, and views. When builders don’t get that, exactly these wind-resistant developments smelling of commercial developers arise, whose poor quality many current new building areas bear witness to. Planned with Windows. And if I understand correctly, you want a house that won’t give architects pimples when viewed. That requires an empathetic approach; there is no singular facade.

I recommended that you take someone who knows what they’re doing – preferably someone who masters the crafts of the plasterer, the render applicator, and the terrazzo maker. If they can also paint, even better. With airbrush, even perfect. But don’t ask me now with which yogurt cultures you get the bubbles in the plaster. There are even photo wallpapers of various "concretes" nowadays. Only, as I said, the surface coldness cannot be imitated; the “fake” always betrays that.

So here I am again.... we just had 2 appointments with architects. The fact is that construction in concrete won't be feasible like that, 1st because of the energy saving regulation (here we would probably need 60 cm walls with insulating concrete) => costs and specialist problem Therefore now actually our decision for concrete with insulation on the outside and plaster. What the 'insulation will be now, polystyrene or something natural, is not clear yet - in general I would be interested in opinions whether there are disadvantages compared to brick construction (i.e. with external insulation) Is there anything against this? That way we would at least have exposed concrete on the inside on the load-bearing walls - and not ALL concrete as was mentioned before.... Opinions would be nice .-9

"Concrete-lookalike" surfaces are more difficult to produce for the outside. Therefore, I see from this that the house will not be a concrete house on the outside (with consequences also for which architecture fits).

outside will be plastered now, that is certain - what else remains ... :-( The question of whether concrete + external insulation is optimal or which insulation to choose is now up in the air I know I haven't uploaded plans so far but I am reluctant to publish the plans here.

Insulation board as "exposed masonry" is probably (still) not done by anyone - that would be quite hardcore punk *LOL*

I have already understood that. I don’t need to explain my opinion here again thanks to the search function ("WDVS") - it is independent of whether the backing "masonry" is this or that kind of stone or concrete.

No one knows better than you how many unsolicited tips you can handle - so you may leave it at that. How a building will appear is decided by the interplay of form and material. A wall surface alone can hardly be clearly commented on with "will look good" (or not). I’ll give you two examples: 1) Emphasizing the "wall slabs" by window openings that butt up without stops: looks "straight" in exposed concrete, like "80s style" with plaster; 2) Shed roof combined with clinker brick: looks like a plaid shirt with a tuxedo. Hence my suggestion to present the house "in context."
