Maybe also read the entire first page of the thread! I don't like to poke around in forum fog, I am happy to share my experiences, but not with such an open question (motto: just let them write...)

Yes, I do. I just don't jump on every moving train. My experience with fully electric roller shutters with timer was 15 years in my old house.... wrong, I actually stopped using the function at some point because it was absolutely unnecessary FOR ME, except in winter for cold protection in the old house.

I will also not get parking assistance just because it is now offered everywhere, because I can park.

Dear TE Jörg,

if you ask a question in a forum and then receive a counter-question, it would be polite and helpful for you to answer it so that your personal needs can be addressed and you can select from the offered answers for your house.
However, not much comes from you due to a lack of information.

By the way, you should always read through what you have written before sending it and correct it accordingly so that others can understand the meaning of your sentences.

A central vacuum system is no longer a luxury for me in times of now well-functioning robotic vacuum cleaners. Quite the opposite! Roller shutters are, in my eyes, standard, and in my region, a house without roller shutters can only be sold with severe discounts. I also find electric roller shutters to be very comfortable. Today's controls can no longer be compared with controls from 15 years ago. I get a home automation system with presence control. Furthermore, the system knows exactly at what time and on which day sunrise occurs and what the weather is like with all data (online connection). Thus, everything imaginable is possible to perfectly control the roller shutters. Additional luxury points not yet mentioned here would be a garden irrigation system installed at the same time. A few pipes laid to specific points (front yard, etc.) can save a lot of work in summer.

It depends on what kind of central vacuum system you install. The practical use is given in my opinion with hoses integrated at selected points in the wall. Additionally, an outdoor socket near the carport or in the garage and a suction strip in the kitchen as a dustpan. By the way: What is luxury or comfort for whom is relative, isn’t it?

Who does the home automation come from?

Good tip! Definitely include it in the planning

@aytex: Of course, the concept of luxury is relative. What bothers me about the central vacuum system is that you still have to vacuum yourself. With my robot vacuum, I empty the dustbin once or twice a week and that's it. For home automation, I use Homematic from EQ3. I have already had good experiences with it. However, you shouldn’t be completely inexperienced when programming the system. For the average user, Smarthome from RWE, for example, would be more suitable.
