If I understand you correctly, that is exactly what we are doing.
Every roller shutter has a motor and its own rocker switch at the door.
However, the control cables from the switch do not run directly to the roller shutter.
Instead, the/all control cables from the switches (throughout the house) go down to the main distribution room.
Likewise, every cable to the roller shutter itself runs from this central point to all the roller shutters in the house.
In the mentioned central point, we now install (quantity: 1) a programmable switch (presumably from Rademacher, see other current thread). This receives, via an astro function, instructions on when to move up and down and sends the signal to all! roller shutters in the house. The switches have nothing to say at that moment.
Yes, this requires more cable effort, but empty conduits exist from the power source anyway to all light switches in the house, so the empty conduit is already there. Only additional wires are pulled through, so it’s not that much extra effort.
And the surcharge for the (quantity: 1) switch is moderate at around €80 once.
Disadvantage: you cannot control each roller shutter individually by time, but I think the sun will go down relatively simultaneously for all roller shutters. And if you don’t feel like it in a bedroom, you can simply disconnect the central wire.
This was all the suggestion of our electrician. I cannot quantify additional costs here.
