Handle position on the window not centered - defect?

No, the grip position was not discussed. We (as laypeople) did not think about this point either, because until then we did not know any other position.

Is there no obligation to provide information on the part of the site manager/window manufacturer?

I still know that annoying feeling – what is unknown is also unbearable, and then you would have wished to be made aware of a choice. However, I can't remember anymore what triggered that feeling during the construction. I have probably forgotten it. We moved in 2 years ago. I wish you the same.

I wouldn't worry about window handles at all. In new buildings with ventilation systems, I wouldn't know why I should open windows anyway. Patio doors, yes, normal windows – almost never.
I've now installed some fixed-glass windows in the house. Narrow frame, no center bar, and therefore lots of glass and a view outside.

Wow, that's daring. I like to have the window open in the office in summer. Ventilation systems are only basic anyway. Temperature equalization only works through windows. But there are many more reasons to open windows despite ventilation.

But to each their own...

Are there really that many reasons? I’m not saying all windows should stay closed. But on many windows in most houses, the window handles are just decoration or are used only to open the window for cleaning.

Our 7-year-old manages his appointments right from the children's room window with his buddies who stand in front of the door or play on the street :)
No mobile phone yet.

The sight of the white plastic windows would bother me more than the position of the handles.

One puzzle piece among many others why construction prices were lower in the past than today.;)
