Was curious - with us, the handles are a little below the middle, I never noticed that :-D Luckily, because the parapet height in the dormers is quite high, I already find it borderline uncomfortable at 1.66m.

Perhaps you should also write again at what total height from the floor the handle is located. And to the OP: how high are they with you now?

Ours are also centered and that is something I never thought about. I would also prefer them lower, I’m not very tall. If they ever need to be replaced, definitely lower...

The handles almost never sit exactly in the middle. Usually up to 10 cm below that. These ones are mounted extra low. This is not a defect. There is no standard for window handle heights either. The operability of these not very large windows should also be unproblematic with this handle arrangement. I would find something else to get upset about at the construction site, that will surely come later.
