What kind of floor plan do you have? I would always recommend: kitchen tiles and living room / dining room but definitely wood ... in our case, the dining room is rather close to the kitchen and therefore also got tiles, or rather, as is often the case in our region, we have laid Jura marble gray here

It is always said that tiles in the kitchen are easier to care for than wood. That is probably true if you don't clean up after spilling something. But who leaves puddles of water or a squishy puree on the tiles just because they are supposed to be so easy to maintain? The argument for tiles is therefore only half-baked.

Except for annual maintenance: wood needs to be oiled or wiped down with a special product from time to time. In this respect, tiles are indeed easier to care for.

Uh, well with us it can also take a looong time to clean off stains.... And that's exactly why there definitely won't be any parquet flooring in our place. It's probably because we're the only ones without parquet in the new housing development

Depending on the tile and the muck on the floor, it can end up even worse than with parquet...

Or (young) dogs? Some stains/puddles are only noticed one or two hours later. The parquet is already really swollen by then...
