Following case: We have 5 new buildings on the street. Our development plan states that in the rear part of the plots, traditional orchard meadows must be created. For each plot, the number and size of the fruit trees to be planted are prescribed in detail. The builders have 1 year to carry out the plantings. It is also explicitly stated that only native woody plants may be planted. So far, so good. Now the question arose for my husband and me about how to behave if the builders do not fulfill this obligation? I find that very difficult. On the one hand, you don’t want to be a killjoy and want peace in your village. On the other hand, I am already annoyed by the first garden of horrors, which is currently being created, where the actual orchard meadow is being dug up for a mega pool with terrace. My husband is clearly of the opinion that it’s none of our business. I, however, think that planting the trees is important for the natural character of the village. Of course, the neighbors should be happy on their land and I certainly have nothing against a pool. But it annoys me that the development plan requirements regarding planting are being so massively ignored. After all, you know before buying what you are getting into. What do you think?
