Can you elaborate on that a bit? I would have to calculate that in the contract, but do you consider excavators, concrete, insulation boards against soil and basement windows to be more expensive than calcium silicate bricks, insulation against outside air, cladding with cornice, and nice as well as larger windows (with windowsills, etc.)? The number of ceilings and the insulation below aren't changing...

Hello,

there are still providers who offer a basement for under TEUR 10. Maybe you would like to share what your basement costs you on paper?

If you forego a basement, then one floor ceiling is omitted, or am I misunderstanding what you are writing?

If according to the development plan you are allowed to build two stories, the monetary step from an assumed knee wall of 1.20 m in single-story construction to a full story is always cheaper than installing a full-use basement. The required area is already available and does not have to be created, as would be the case with a basement. In addition, additional earthworks come into play and – if things go really wrong – also a lot of money for a white tank (more steel, stainless-steel foundation earth electrode, etc.). In my opinion, the most expensive aspect is probably the surcharge for more facing bricks.

Many landfills these days also require a chemical analysis before they are even willing to accept surplus soil. The report costs more money again, as it is different from the known soil report for the safe foundation of a single-family house. Disposal costs depend on the soil analysis; but with a basement, quite a few trips add up.

Rhenish regards

I compared an additional cubic floor below the ground floor, which is mostly buried in the ground, with one that is inserted between the ground floor and the attic. I think the former costs less.

I sold our excess soil to the construction contractor for a few euros or offset it with additional services.

Good evening,

A basement usually doesn't "care" whether the building above it is cubic, classical, or modern in design.

You are still thinking incorrectly; sorry.

Topsoil?

What is included in the "basement" offer?

"WU" simply stands for watertight; this is nowadays "normal" for almost all concretes used. It is by no means a white tank because of that.

Rhenish regards
