Hello everyone,

we are planning a new building with approximately 190 sqm, 2 stories, without a basement, the attic with about 65 sqm is to be converted (including a bathroom and a storage room). The house will be brick-clad and will be built according to the Energy Saving Ordinance. A 5-person household (2 adults + 3 children). A controlled residential ventilation system and KNX are planned (if the costs work out, so related to KNX). Once the house is built, I would like to retrofit solar and photovoltaics after a few years.

I really can't decide whether gas or heat pump.

The gas connection costs me €2,500.

Can you help me with the decision?
And which manufacturer would you recommend to me then.

Thanks!!!!

Best regards

GC or architect? EL or have it done? Installing photovoltaics right away and adding a heat pump is the best, if the conditions are right.

- EL - individual trades (negotiations with the shell builder are almost complete)
- I would do photovoltaics right away if the costs don’t explode for me, or roughly how high would the costs be?

Manufacturer heat pump?

EL means own contribution - e.g. laying geothermal collectors yourself, or installing and connecting the pump yourself for an air-to-water heat pump. The manufacturer of the heat pump is not that important. If a heating installer does it, you have to take whatever they offer anyway. With the current market situation, you can't choose between 5 different ones either. Photovoltaics cost about €1000-1200 net/kWp depending on where you live. However, the cost of photovoltaics is irrelevant because the remuneration and savings more than cover the additional loan costs.

EL will be taken over by my brother .... he can do that. He prefers Buderus.

Photovoltaics as flat collectors, correct?

The costs are of course not irrelevant.
