Hi construction expert,

thanks for your help with all my questions! Where in the Rhineland are you actually from? I come from LEV.
Sectional door is not included in the offer. I will probably stick with the swing gate because of the price. I have enough driveway, so I don’t have to park right in front of the gate.
It definitely won’t be steel, it’s also supposed to be storage space with wall mounting options.

I also thought about that, at Leimbacher Berg Hans Arp Str. but it is now Küppersteg. Then we are almost neighbors. By the way, I just got my application from the BA *freu*

Hello,

No, we build there for clients, Küppersteg was where clients of ours lived who are now building their single-family house in Bürrig

I'm happy for you, congratulations

Greetings

I'm reopening this thing here.

My building is now at the stage where the foundation tubes are being raised from the basement. Now the shell builder asked us what about the garage and what it costs. He then said he would build it for half (meaning €5000) right away.
So I have to buy and install a gate & door myself and also plaster it. On Ebay, I saw a sectional door with drive going for €800.
Now the question is whether it’s worth it and if I can manage to stay under €5000 for the gate/door and the plaster?

Hello,

Ebay - Hörmann gate - electrified - with remote controls?

A prefabricated garage 3 x 6 costs around EUR 4.5k, prefabricated garage 3 x 9 about EUR 7.2k - incl. exterior plaster, garden door and each plus electric sectional door, 2 remote controls and necessary strip foundations. (Windows cost between €250.00 and €350.00 depending on size)

How big is the garage scheduled by the shell builder?

Kind regards

I have to add something. The structural builder just spontaneously explained it to my wife yesterday, and that's when my piggy bank starts spinning. He wants to do the garage with foundation, floor slab, and measuring 3x9m for 5k (a real offer is still coming). As I said, I calculated the gate on Ebay once at 800€. The plasterer then doesn’t have to plaster the house at the garage anymore, so he can plaster the garage; only the end sides have to be plastered according to my calculation. The roof worries me, how is something like that done on a masonry garage? Which trade does that? @ConstructionExpert: For the 7200 you mentioned (3x9, electric sectional door, garden door + strip foundation) I always got offers for 9-10k. I also heard that at K+! If I get it for 7200, there's an instant prefabricated garage, then it’s the same price and more space (thin walls)!
