And how did you plaster that or how is the structure there? It is supposed to be plastered the same way as the house in the end, right?

here is another photo for better understanding:

currently it looks like this:

I originally wanted to suspend and plaster the underside with plaster carrier boards in the color of the carport. However, it will now be a white wooden underside.

Thank you very much. The pictures help a lot to specify my question:
The area you plastered "beige" includes different substrates:
- 1. A type of "wood panels." I would be interested in what kind it was?
- 2. The masonry pillars.

- How was the plaster applied in the area with the "wood panels"? From my layman's perspective, it must be difficult to plaster on wood panels.
- How were the transitions from the wooden substrate to the bricks treated so that the plaster does not crack later at these points?

Thank you for taking the time to answer me.

The wooden boards are plaster carrier boards. Here you can apply base plaster as usual and then the so-called scratch coat (the layer with the color) just as you would on brick/stone. How exactly the plaster carrier boards are connected to the wooden beams and the stone walls, I do not know. The carpenter knows that. I told him back then how it should be later/look, then he immediately knew. But I assume that the plaster carrier boards are only connected to the wooden structure because otherwise plaster cracks would occur due to the different material expansions. That was exactly the issue with the underside of the carport, which I also wanted plastered. You just have to make sure that the plaster carrier boards are not constantly exposed to rain before they are plastered. Therefore, you should apply bitumen sheets at the upper edge. Always feel free to send questions. That’s what a forum is for.
