But then there is no separation. Which you don't want, which nobody would want!

That is very sad to read. It is not mandatory to seek advice regarding the construction history. But you are in the flow of logistics. Now you are here in the forum. It is like Instagram, a pull. But Insta only shows a short, architectural time window, whereas your house should be down-to-earth. Insta shows pictures that are excerpts of very expensive house constructions. Watch out! For that you need space, which is expensive. What I want to say is: please stay down-to-earth!

No, it's not that simple. First of all, I started a request here because I wanted some hints. I will definitely seek a conversation with the architect and see what can still be changed at the building authority with little "effort." We didn't "notice" anything after 8 months; rather, after 8 months, I just didn't like the floor plan anymore. Eight months ago, I was thrilled about it. But this devilish app called Instagram shows you so many great houses that you start to doubt what you have. For this floor plan that we submitted, we definitely spent about 5 months. There were "only" 3 drafts, but it felt like an eternity until the first draft was ready.

I probably expressed myself incorrectly. The stairs for the granny flat would remain where they are now. In our hallway, the straight staircase would be removed. We would then use a spiral staircase and position it on our side so that it basically lies above the other staircase. However, it can only be accessed by us going up. If we want to go to the basement, we have to go through the hallway into the "staircase" where the stairs to the granny flat are used. I hope this can be understood somehow.

Yes, we want something lasting and down-to-earth. Of course, one always looks for improvement. But you simply have to stop looking at what could be done better when you are already satisfied. For me, there is definitely a difference here because practical tips are given. That is important to me.

Your question about "quoting". You can quote as many times as you like in a single post and therefore do not have to create a new post each time. Simply highlight the next interesting passage after your answer and then click "quote" and so on.....in the same post
