I don't know how the entrance from the outside could be designed now. Since we have such a small plot, we didn't want another external staircase. And since we also have to get into the basement, this solution seemed suitable for us.

I have to discuss the budget with the construction company again. They offer everything from a single source, and we have a contract with them for all services at a fixed price. I will clarify this again.

Yes, that’s basically true. We will probably close off the air space. But the straight staircase is very important to us because we find it the most visually appealing.

In my first quote, I somehow quoted within the text in a way that isn’t immediately recognizable. I’m still not so good at quoting...
So on the left (east side) there is a separate front door for the granny flat. If you go through there, you reach a kind of stairwell where you get to the basement. From our hallway on the ground floor, you can also go through a door into this stairwell, so we can also get to the basement.

Good idea.
I think the open hallway brings enough spaciousness across to compensate for the missing air space. Having both would somehow make the upper floor feel connected to the entrance. That’s not good for the upper floor. You should rearrange the spaces on the upper floor again, put the washing machine and dryer next to the bathroom and not above the living room.
I only just see now that your entrance is on the north side. I would make a shared one from the driveway and then place the parking spot in front of the WC. As I already said, get rid of this strange corner in the vestibule and put your door there. Oh dear, I just noticed: the staircase also does not allow privacy if children live in the house. It should be rotated then.

So many people have written something about the price now that I will discuss it again with the construction company.
We have concluded a contract with them for all the work to be done. Our own contributions have been noted and priced separately.
In our contract, all earthworks, gravel, prefabricated garage, basement (living basement) are already tiled and partly laminated including fixed flooring.
We provide as our own contribution the removal of the excavated earth (we rent vehicles for very little money, the earth is accepted free of charge by the city for a new development area), the purchase of sanitary objects, the installation of the sanitary objects, and the painting and plastering. I will discuss everything again with the construction company, because I’m starting to get a little afraid.

This makes it doable according to your answers now as well. Discuss everything again with the construction company. We have a contract where everything is fixed in writing at a flat rate. See my answer above. However, I will clarify this again.
