Smoker belongs to the kitchen and dining area

YPG wants fewer levels, less enclosed space, larger open living space. You would also like the classic basement utility rooms like pantry and laundry room on the levels where they are needed.

Otherwise pantry, laundry room, and office in the basement.
Ground floor living, dining, cooking, WC, entrance with wardrobe
Upper floor bedroom, 2 children's rooms, bathroom, and laundry chute

Yes, I know

Unfortunately, I like basements, which I probably inherited from my grandma, who rushes up and down the stairs here every day at a good 92 years old, even though it's much more comfortable around the house.
But this is not only due to habit but also to hobbies and preferences. And apart from that, we try to process the laundry where it arises and also have the most important kitchen utensils ready there.

It's just a pity that I can't present a picture of the kitchen. The kitchen planner hit our taste right away, especially the solution with the pantry and the refrigerator.
We also liked placing the dining table directly next to the countertop. You just need to be able to move it if more guests come.

And here the living room and the fireplace get somewhat in the way. So we have to place even more around the corner. We really like the solution here, although we have a somewhat smaller/simpler model in mind:

Ok, if the balcony is already so internalized and fixed, it is pointless to try to convince the OP of the wonderful garden exit directly from the kitchen. You might have to accept that other people have different wishes.

However, I would actually move the utility room on the upper floor in favor of a laundry chute to the basement. From there, you can wonderfully hang the laundry outside.

I would already make a plan for the kitchen. Usually, the cabinets are 60 cm wide, so that at least a 3m kitchen unit should adjoin the pantry. 2.40m seems small and cramped to me. What is drawn in there now would definitely be just an ugly narrow corner for me.

If the entrance from the garage is so important to you, why don't you just move it there? It would then look like this - from left to right: Garage, mini canopy, entrance. That saves space for other important rooms like pantry and WC. You also still have an access in the basement. Exterior doors are not exactly cheap - having 3, I find a bit excessive.

Would be possible if you move the office to the basement. Otherwise, I think Kaho's comments are good

Hello everyone,
I have to chime in briefly as the wife of the OP.
We have already had a wonderful dream kitchen planned, but we have not yet received the plan because we still need to carefully choose all the appliances, fronts, etc. (and of course buy the kitchen). The kitchen planner can and will only go through this with us once the house plan is completely finished, which is why the draftsman cannot faithfully adopt the kitchen plan.
This "U-shaped kitchen" already has the correct measurements, don’t worry.

I don’t want a utility room or pantry in the basement.
I cook every day and it certainly doesn’t occur to me to constantly dash down to the basement for a packet of pasta. (Although that would be good training, but I’d rather do that in some other way )
My husband and I are both allergic to pollen, so unfortunately I cannot hang our laundry outside.
The laundry room has to stay on the upper floor!

Thanks for your contributions, the focus is really on the ground floor at the moment, especially on the living room/office.

Best regards, Katrin

Ah, finally the decision-maker at the keyboard. Just to clarify, the kitchen is fully planned and corresponds to the dimensions shown in EG-neu.jpg? Or could it be arranged differently so that someone could actually sit at the dining table without gasping for breath? How exact are the story height, ceiling height, knee wall, and roof pitch? An office in the basement would also be an option?
