If you remove the door to the living room, then you can definitely place the TV stand better and also furnish the living room better. That is beyond question. However, the paths are actually long then. AZ --> WZ always has to go through the kitchen. The view when entering the house is also quite different, much darker, and you stare at a wall. A partially glazed door is planned.

No, the kitchen is supposed to be closed off at times, hence the sliding door to the dining room.

Can you write to me more precisely what you mean by that?

The path from the bed to the bathroom should be planned to be short in case it needs to be quick...

We definitely had the window on the west side widened to 2m, that was the maximum that was possible. (with the current kitchen planning...) I know, still nowhere near as light-flooded as yours, but at least better. ;) We’re still planning with the architect, she’s also not really satisfied yet and wanted to consider it further. May I ask how wide your kitchen is on the floor plan? The south window in the dining area was originally planned similar to yours, but my wife preferred a normal window on that side to place a sideboard there. Somehow you always have to find the compromise because you can’t place such furniture in front of windows. But even that can still be changed; I’ve already been assured of that. It is still something we’re working on...

What we are actually changing now is the underpinning in the living room, which we will only do in drywall if at all... but that still has to be figured out. My wife would like a wooden beam ceiling in the living room, that’s how we have it now... I don’t yet know what I think of that. For that, the underpinning would definitely be a good transition...

Hm...I'm at a loss here. I only have to go to the next room, right?

But for facade appearance preferably in the other direction – the third broom cupboard can be placed somewhere else anyway. A beam would be necessary anyway because of the thick bedroom wall – albeit offset; but I recommend a lighter wall up there (or did I already say that?).
