You don’t have space for a china cabinet like that, but it would fit well between the kitchen and living room doors. Without a wall stub. … and more expensive (should be mentioned every now and then with such suggestions)

You will regret so much later if you don’t do the increase…

I am so glad that before building the house we moved into a great rental apartment that had increased ceiling height and 2.11 m doors. I didn’t know that before at all….. once you have that, you wonder why it was always done differently and never want it to be like that again…. 2.11 doors are the standard today. Somehow not every architect has caught up with that yet.

What are Pfuschertaschen? (A few more words due to minimum.) The term "Pfuschertaschen" is a colloquial German expression that combines "Pfuscher" (botcher or bungler) and "Taschen" (bags or pockets). It metaphorically refers to people who habitually do shoddy or careless work, suggesting they carry around a "bag" of botched or sloppy outputs. In this context, it likely describes individuals who are prone to making frequent mistakes or producing poor-quality work.

I'm "hanging" onto your post: Our floor height increase by 20cm would have cost €4,710 per floor (plus the additionally higher and thus more expensive windows). Our house is 9.40m x 9.40m and is a prefabricated house in timber frame construction.

Simply put: when stones do not fit together optimally during house construction.

Not necessarily. The foot purlin is currently planned on the ceiling… it can also be moved inward, causing the entire roof to sit lower. Alternatively, the rafters can also be notched. In my opinion, the 12.5 cm increase is possible with the roof height remaining the same!
