I find quite a few things well done. It’s nice that you have internalized many things from the forum and also implemented them well. I would paint the door between the utility room/kitchen and make a separate kitchen door where there is currently a chest of drawers in the hallway. The path to the supplies is then hardly any longer, but you can close the wall with kitchen cabinets. That looks better. I would include the stove in the kitchen line and make the island a pure work island. This suits an almost square shape better. Yes, and then the windows: either move the garage to the other side, or move the garage forward (move the house back a bit) so that there is still room for a kitchen window. In the utility room, I would install a cabinet or kitchen line with upper cabinets along the upper planned wall over the entire area. This way, the doors should still have 70cm of space behind them. Then you have a clean storage area for supplies, a second fridge, and all the household stuff. In the bathroom upstairs, I would move the window away from the shower. Regards, Yvonne

I notice that the passage past the kitchen island is only about 80cm wide, which is too narrow for me; on the left, there is even the sink at this narrow spot. For such a kitchen island, the kitchen-dining area would be too small for me.

Best regards

The entire living-dining area would be too cramped and too dark for me. The hallway and foyer are far too large for that. That doesn't fit such a small floor plan. I would eliminate the utility room-kitchen passage and design the kitchen as a U-shape. Remove the island - it is not practical at this size and makes the entire space feel cramped. Definitely add more windows to the living room. I would tailor the house to the needs of the residents and not to the car...

Good morning and thank you very much for your suggestions! We will take many of them into account in the further planning.

Regarding the kitchen - the drawing of the furniture, the cooktop, and the sink are not yet as we would actually plan the kitchen, I perhaps should have mentioned that. Maybe we will also move the "island" next to the kitchen unit, so that it is practically an upside-down U or a C. And as I said, the dining table is normally only 2 m long and we would push it further towards the wall, since the terrace door is also a sliding door. So normally it is not as tight as it looks now.

We are now planning the garage differently so that it only extends 3 m along the utility room and I will get my window front in the kitchen. We will also skip the door to the kitchen and take the option with access from the hallway. Even if some will again point out that we will have even less space for a wardrobe then ops:

We are now also thinking about another window in the side living area.

The walk-in closet is unfortunately not up for discussion, even if it turns out like a dark hole. It has been my dream for ages and I copied it exactly from a friend. It is simply meant to be a walk-in closet with open cabinets; after all, there is no window in the closet And daylight would unfortunately fade the clothes, since we do not want closet doors.

And Yvonne - the window in the upstairs bathroom is a light strip that is supposed to run above the shower enclosure. I liked the idea of being able to tilt the window during or after showering and almost immediately let the humid air escape, but maybe that idea is silly too and we will just move it to the right ^^

Thanks again

Possibly swap the bathtub with the toilet. Regarding the dressing room: we also have a small dressing room with open (Ivar) shelves instead of Pax. Consider arranging the cabinets in an L shape; this way, you keep almost the same cabinet length but gain more freedom of movement in front. There would even still be room for a mirror and a chair. Plan the stairs with risers, then you can place a wardrobe underneath without it getting dusty. Maybe completely forgo the kitchen door and plan a U-shape? Best regards in brief

Just a quick note about the dressing room, my experiences. Maybe it helps you.

We have similar measurements, so it's a bit tight, also filled with PAX wardrobes. They are 236cm high. On one side, we only have wardrobes with a depth of 35cm. The other side has a depth of 65, where the clothes that need to hang are kept. There used to be pieces with 4 drawers in 35cm depth, might be that they no longer exist. You can store underwear, socks there. If T-shirts are folded accordingly, the depth is sufficient. With 60cm wardrobes, there is usually some leftover space. You don’t need an extra mirror if you take a door with a mirror on the larger wardrobes. I open the door and can see myself even from 2 meters away. Important for me were additional hooks and a rail where the practically unworn clothes can hang. The ones that don't belong in the wardrobe but also not in laundry. Worn briefly, then changed again.

I have to leave again shortly, but I wanted to get this off my chest

Best regards
