I also think that I gave the architect too little freedom.
True. I was also surprised where the architect's touch is visible in the design. On the ground floor, the rooms are simply lined up next to each other. A guest toilet can of course be placed at the front, even with a window and cloakroom area in front of it, because the windows just need to be split in two, also in the kitchen... 200 sqm with a toilet without a window, that's quite a statement ;) Aside from the fact that a lot is amiss there, I didn’t understand your issue with the dining area being too large. The dining area is practically the central place of a household, especially with children... But here I hardly see any planned dining and living area. 2.55 meters is far too little. For a 2-meter-long table, there should be 4 meters in length... then additionally check the accessibility of the terrace doors and create space. The freezer belongs inside the thermal envelope, wardrobe cabinets are very important... 2 meters for 4 people fills up very quickly. Quite spontaneously, I would suggest it like this, without changing too much
