About the floor plan: On which side is the other house? Does the garage/carport then come directly on the other side of the house? What about the windows then?

OT: I hate party cellars. I don't go to the basement to party. That would be a reason for me to decline an invitation. I would also say that quite openly.

Otherwise, the floor plan is not a total disaster. The slant has to go, as Yvonne already said. And there still needs to be space for a wardrobe. But I would first clarify whether a 2nd floor will be added in any form before dealing with the details.

I also would not be happy if someone wanted to put me as a guest in the party basement. A party basement is a relic of the "good Sunday parlor."

I also think: first outline how it is being built... then go into detail.

Party basement is maybe a bit exaggerated, the room is meant to have a small bar and a table for cozy gatherings and playing cards or similar :-)

I am assuming now that there won’t be a second floor, as that would be too complicated (probably also expensive), and difficult to arrange with the neighbors (roof shape, etc..)

What would you estimate the semi-detached house with about 150m² living space and a fully basement to cost approximately?
Our current plan is to build with an architect.
The plot itself costs us 98,840€ + property tax and notary fee. (fully developed)
The banker I spoke with yesterday said one has to expect about 400,000€.
I actually hoped to manage with 300,000€ just for the semi-detached house + garage.

What I notice:
Hallway
From my point of view, a disaster. Long and narrow. You’ll bump into each other while getting dressed and there’s hardly enough room for a wardrobe. Under the stairs, the space will quickly be used up.
Living room
It’s not my taste to see the couch from behind. We had that in the old apartment and somehow it always looked ... makeshift.
Guest bathroom
Does the guest bathroom really have to have a shower? Or would a toilet be enough and you’d gain some space for the hallway?
Master bedroom
I would swap it with the upper children's room and then move this one down a bit (you can still do a dressing room). That way, you have a shorter distance to the bathroom. The kids have young legs and you’ll live in the house longer than they will. You can still put the doors there; it gives the rooms a slight advantage, which I always like because it loosens up the "square, practical, good" feeling a bit.

Hallway
You are probably right, it was just a first draft anyway, I’m currently still having some trouble distributing it properly.
Living room
That’s a good point, but luckily you could also turn it around ;-)
Guest bathroom
We basically want to prepare for old age, in case we might later have problems with the stairs or something like that, that’s why there’s also the approx. 10 m² room downstairs, which could then be used as a bedroom.
Master bedroom
The idea is great; I thought about it that way because with the master bedroom we would then be on the sunny side.
