Where do you dry the laundry?

We are currently planning a washing machine and dryer in the upper floor storage room, which will also receive an exhaust from the [Kontrollierte-Wohnraumlüftung].

What would you recommend? Of course, we will also have the connections installed downstairs in the utility room.

I would definitely make the dressing room window with a parapet, otherwise you will feel watched. Then I would move the bedroom window - consider swapping the bathroom with storage for the (modest) symmetry -> don’t be afraid of the slope, at least try it out

Best regards in brief

Attached is the site plan with a north arrow.

I have rotated it so that it matches the floor plans. The entrance is at the bottom.

Also included is the ground floor including the layout of the house on the property. The garage is on the north boundary.

Here is the update.

The fireplace is no longer there.
I wouldn't fully extend the wall between the utility room and the pantry.

A wardrobe is planned under the stairs.

Do you think we can do without the large window facing west (in the living room)?

In the upstairs bathroom, I might possibly swap the bathtub and the sinks, or what do you think?

But I really like the floor plan now. I would only adjust a few details, like the bathroom planning.

Hello Cico,

don’t you think the pantry is way too narrow? 1m width is really not much!
Just imagine that, for example, if you want to put in a freezer, I would say it wouldn’t even open fully...

Leave out the wall to the utility room and just place a row of shelves in the middle. They can then be properly deep, since you can access them from two sides.
Otherwise, I think the floor plan is quite good.
Regards
Tanita

The kitchen is 4m wide and if you plan a 1m passage at the top and bottom of the cooking island, then the cooking island can only be about 1.40m wide.

Best regards
Sabine
