I believe that prices have also risen sharply with the provider in recent years – our starting price for the house was about €150,000. Quite cheap back then. Maybe we were also lucky with the prices (contract signed at the end of 2017). Now the base price, I believe, is already at €190,000.
Then additionally underfloor heating, ventilation system, lift-and-slide door, venetian blinds/aluminum roller shutters (all electric), chimney.
House enlargement, knee wall increase.
Those were the most expensive things.
And sanitary fittings also pretty good stuff (rain shower built-in, bathtub rim fittings, etc., all sanitary from Villeroy & Boch, etc.)
So basically upgraded in every trade.

If I calculate with €40,000 more than we had (the changed base price), I come to about €1900/m². Still okay.

Prices have risen in the meantime as well; the contract was from the end of 2017. It's probably heading toward 2,000 euros by now. I also find that pretty crazy, especially since the land is getting more expensive as well. What kind of price offers have you received?

Well, in that case, congratulations to you! You did everything right. For our house, I can't say exactly yet, as we are building with individual contracts and are in the middle of it. We will probably end up somewhere between 2100 and 2200, but we're building a somewhat more special house, which definitely drives up the price.

Thank you very much for the draft! We hadn’t thought of moving the entrance to the north side yet. Are there any disadvantages to not having the entrance on the street side? I think the floor plan for the ground floor works very well, especially the layout of the kitchen, dining, and living areas, which we really like with the small bay window for the kitchen cabinets. The L-shaped staircase also fits. Do you think there might be a way to position or move the staircase differently? We don’t want the start of the stairs right next to the front door. We had that in a holiday home, and all the dirt from the street was happily spread throughout the house by going back and forth. The bathroom on the upper floor is great with the bathtub in the bay window. The children's rooms are a bit too small for us at 13 sqm. On the other hand, there is a huge walk-in closet that we don’t need. The few square meters could be distributed a bit better somehow. I’ve also already played around a bit using this floor plan as a basis, but nothing suitable has come out of it yet. I have a question about the extra room for the washing machine and dryer. Right now we have a washer-dryer stack with a condenser dryer, which we would also like to take with us. Wouldn’t you have problems with humidity in a small room without windows? Many thanks again for your ideas.

But as funny as it is, today I am actually installing an Arlo Go that films the front door and sounds an alarm when dog, cat, mouse, children, leaves, wife, and wife's lover dash through the frame.

No.

I don’t see a possibility. Especially not if it can’t be a U-shaped staircase with a 3m floor height. But maybe others have ideas.

Could be tested, but wouldn’t expect too much.

What is that?
